About the job Senior Financial Analyst (Treasury)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst (Treasury) for our esteemed client, a leading shipbuilding company based in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia.
Job Purpose
Growing financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends. As well as being able to develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting to create recommendations to be presented to management and executives. It is also important to conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis. Reconciling existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data is a key function a senior financial analyst should be able to practice. Also, maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.
Key Accountabilities
Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
Review letter of credits and other performance guarantees.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned in virtually any financial analyst job description; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects).
Transactional data processing knowledge via business end to end process.
Ensures business queries are resolved and responded to in a timely manner.
Monitor and manage the organizations daily cash position and liquidity requirements.
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational requirements.
Manage treasury activities, including investment of surplus funds, bank relationship management, and compliance with treasury policies.
Ensure accurate execution of foreign exchange transactions and adherence to risk management strategies.
Prepare treasury reports, including bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and investment performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications:
Professional Qualification in Banking, Insurance or Risk, Treasury. ACII, FCII, FRM, CTP, CFA is preferred
Experience:
At least 9-11 years of relevant work experience in treasury/cash management or banking field preferred.
Experience in financial modeling.
Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting.
Languages:
Fluent in English & Arabic
