Project Engineer

 Job Description:

Our client is a is a global manufacturer of heat transfer products and services, specialized in developing evaporative cooling equipment that conserves water and energy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management
  • Initiation Working closely with the sales and applications team to ensure a clear conception of project deliverables, milestones, and budget prior to accepting the PO.
  • Planning Create project schedule and budget in close cooperation with all the stakeholders including engineering, factory, distributors, subcontractors and customer.
  • Monitoring and control Follow up and document the progress on a regular basis, set up a transparent and regular status update and communication plan, along with an escalation plan to ensure timely response to any risks or changes.
  • Closure Follow through until all deliverables have been achieved, all punch items on site have been cleared and all invoices have been paid.
  • Site Support
  • Supervision of installation and commissioning
  • Warranty support: assess issues, coordinate rectification plan with factory team and supervise corrective actions on site.
  • Aftermarket: visit existing installations and write visit reports with an assessment of the current state and make recommendations with regards to maintenance, refurbishment or replacements.
  • Performance Indicators
  • Project cost and schedule variance (%)
  • Customer feedback with regards to quality of communication and execution
  • Aftermarket sales revenue

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • 5 years of experience with cooling towers or rotating equipment sales
  • 5 years of experience in construction project management
  • Good English, other languages are a plus
  • High sense of responsibility, discipline, and ability to work under pressure
  • Creative and analytical problem solver, focused on results and getting the job done properly
  • Customer centricity: good inter-personal skills and clear communicator, adept in detecting and addressing any possible ambiguities upfront
  • Team-player: ability to interface well with people of various backgrounds such as engineering, manufacturing, construction, purchasing, QA/QC, etc
  • Willingness to travel from time to time (+/-50%)
  • Ethical behaviour and compliance with FCPA
