Supply Chain Manager
Job Description:
Our client is a global technology and manufacturing company that specializes in providing advanced electronic control solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Site Material Groups (purchasing, planning, inventory control, warehousing & shipping) with effective strategies and best practices.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the companys production control functions including Master Scheduling, Production Planning &
- Coordination, Shop Floor Scheduling, and Dispatching.
- Responsible for key material indices which involve on-time delivery, inventory management and material labor costs.
- Develops material planning models to ensure proper material planning and optimal inventory positions. Utilizes models for determining material planning parameters for components.
- Develops, implements and approves items such as material requirements, planning systems, work in process tracking, material and labor variance controls and manufacturing performance reporting.
- Interfaces with customer service to ensure delivery commitments are met and with subordinates, functional peer group managers and senior management.
- Interfaces with purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory.
- Coordinates schedule of activities with customer service on planning, scheduling, shipping and material acquisition during program start-ups.
- Notifies Materials and Program Management of material situation that affect the attainment of the production plan.
- Approves quantities, schedules and parts list provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, receipt and issuance of production material requirements.
- Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, support performance and process procedures.
- Serve as one of the focal point between the Corporate Business Units and the various Site PMC Managers.
Job Requirements:
- Degree/ Master in Business Administration or a related discipline with minimum 10 years material experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in English, with great communication skills and stakeholder management to deal with stakeholders internationally.
- Knowledge of PC-based/ mainframe ERP and production control systems.
- SAP experience is preferable but not essential
- Experience in the EMS industry
- Problem solving skills
