Sales Manager - Automotive Distributor
Job Description:
Our client is a British luxury sports cars and electric lifestyle vehicles manufacturer.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Team Management and Development
- Recruitment and Training: Hire, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team, providing feedback, coaching, and support to improve their effectiveness.
- Motivation and Leadership: Foster a positive and motivating work environment, setting clear goals and expectations for the team.
2. Sales Strategy and Planning
- Sales Goals: Set realistic and achievable sales targets for the team, aligned with dealership objectives.
- Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement sales strategies and marketing campaigns to attract customers and boost sales.
- Inventory Management: Work with inventory managers to ensure optimal stock levels and the availability of popular vehicle models.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining positive relationships.
- Sales Process: Oversee the entire sales process, from initial customer contact to final sale, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for customers.
- Follow-Up: Implement follow-up procedures to maintain contact with customers post-sale, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
4. Financial Management
- Budgeting: Develop and manage the sales departments budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Pricing and Promotions: Set competitive pricing strategies and promotional offers to attract customers while maintaining profitability.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare and analyze sales reports, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and areas for improvement.
5. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and potential new markets.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotions to stay ahead in the market.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest automotive products, features, and technologies to provide accurate information to customers and the sales team.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Documentation: Oversee the proper documentation of all sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with dealership policies.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Sales Expertise: Strong background in automotive sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
