Senior Field Services Engineer

Position Summary
The Senior Field Service Engineer (FSE) will serve as a local technical expert supporting deployed projects and end users. The role involves both hardware and software system debugging for automated equipment, ensuring smooth installation, validation, maintenance, and optimization of production systems.
Key Responsibilities

Perform equipment installation and system bring-up

Validate and qualify automated equipment

Conduct end-user training sessions

Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

Repair and upgrade equipment software and hardware as required

Collaborate with design engineers for continuous improvement and optimization

Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields

5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC development and non-standard automation systems

Strong understanding of PLC- and computer-controlled production equipment with complex processes

Advanced knowledge of:

Calibration procedures for precision assembly machines with vision-guided motion

Machine vision systems (debugging, calibration, configuration)

Motion systems (motor tuning, repeatability, stability checks)

Six-axis robot setup and configuration
-

Experience using and configuring:

LabVIEW applications
-
Beckhoff PLC IO and Motion applications

Fluent in English (both spoken and written)

Prior experience working in a manufacturing or automation environment

Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally
