At Thermo Fisher Scientific, our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

As a EHS & Facilities Supervisor, you won’t just maintain systems—you’ll lead the infrastructure and safety programs that power critical site operations. Your leadership will directly support the production of technologies that help customers drive scientific breakthroughs and deliver life-changing solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will lead facility operations and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs for a dynamic manufacturing site—ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a safe, high-performing environment.

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for critical facility systems including HVAC, utilities, equipment maintenance, and infrastructure
  • Drive EHS strategy and execution, ensuring compliance with OSHA, FDA, EMA, and cGMP standards
  • Partner cross-functionally to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency
  • Oversee risk assessments, audits, and corrective actions across safety and environmental programs
  • Manage vendor relationships, service agreements, and facility budgets
  • Participate in new project reviews and process changes, ensuring safety and compliance are built in from the start
  • Lead emergency response readiness and participate in on-call rotation

A Day in the Life

No two days look the same—but your impact is constant. You might be:

  • Leading a morning review of facility performance metrics and EHS indicators
  • Coordinating a GMP-compliant maintenance strategy to prevent production downtime
  • Walking the floor to identify safety improvements or mentor technicians
  • Partnering with engineering on a new system installation or process change
  • Preparing for or hosting a regulatory or client audit

Keys to Success

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred)  and 5+ years of experience in facilities and/or EHS, ideally in GMP or manufacturing OR in lieu of undergraduate degree, 7+ experience in facilities and/or EHS, ideally in GMP or manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems (HVAC, water, compressed gases)
  • Experience with BMS and CMMS systems
  • Working knowledge of FDA, EMA, cGMP, and quality systems
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical drawings

Leadership & Execution

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and drive accountability
  • Strong project management and budget oversight skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on root cause and continuous improvement
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to support on-call rotation and off-hours needs
  • Physical ability to perform inspections and respond to facility issues
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities as needed

Why Join Thermo Fisher Scientific?

This role brings our Employer Value Proposition to life:

  • Work with purpose: Your leadership supports operations that enable scientific breakthroughs and improve global health outcomes
  • Lead the right way: Be part of a culture grounded in integrity, safety, and doing things the right way
  • Drive real impact: Influence both site performance and colleague well-being every day
  • Grow your career: Access development opportunities in a global organization where careers are made

We offer competitive compensation, an annual incentive plan, comprehensive healthcare, and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.
