Job Description General Summary: Vertex is seeking a talented marketing professional to join the US Pain Business Unit to support the HCP experience with JOURNAVX. The Associate Director, HCP Experience will play a critical role in shaping and delivering best-in-class experiences for healthcare professionals (HCPs) as we continue the launch of JOURNAVX, a novel selective pain signal inhibitor of NaV1.8 in acute pain. This role will focus on designing and executing integrated HCP engagement strategies across key touchpoints of the education and prescribing experience. The individual will work closely with the Senior Director, HCP Marketing to bring the HCP strategy to life and ensure a seamless, impactful experience across the customer journey. This role reports to the Senior Director, HCP Marketing for the US Pain Business Unit. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Execute HCP Experience Strategy Partner with the Senior Director, HCP Marketing to translate brand strategy into impactful HCP experiences across channels and touchpoints Own Key Experience Components Support the development and execution of integrated HCP engagement plans, including payer pull-through, PSP changes and other capabilities across the HCP workflow. Ensure alignment and consistency of messaging and experience across all HCP-facing channels Enhance Omnichannel Engagement Partner cross-functionally to help map and optimize HCP journeys across channels Support test-and-learn initiatives to improve targeting, personalization, and engagement effectiveness Develop Promotional Materials Lead development and refinement of HCP promotional materials in partnership with agencies and cross-functional teams Ensure materials are aligned to brand strategy, compliant, and tailored to target HCP segments Drive Execution Excellence Manage agency partners and internal processes to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget Support brand planning and execution processes, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities Collaborate Cross-Functionally Work closely with field leadership, medical, market access, and other marketing teams to ensure an integrated HCP engagement approach Contribute to cross-functional HCP engagement forums and planning processes Support Innovation & Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance HCP experience through new capabilities, channels, and technologies Contribute to a test-and-learn culture focused on continuous improvement Compliance & Culture Ensure all activities align with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements Role model a culture of integrity, collaboration, and accountability Leverage Data & Insights Partner with Market Insights and analytics teams to understand HCP needs and behaviors Track performance of HCP programs and recommend optimizations based on data and insights Knowledge and Skills: Experience executing HCP marketing programs across multiple channels (e.g., digital, peer-to-peer, congress, field materials) Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously Ability to translate strategy into execution with attention to detail and quality Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data to inform decisions and optimize performance Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required 7+ years of experience in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals in marketing, consulting, or agency roles, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience supporting HCP marketing or promotional programs in U.S. or global markets Experience working with agencies and managing cross-functional projects Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting product launches or new indication expansions Familiarity with omnichannel engagement strategies and marketing automation tools Experience working with CRM platforms and digital engagement tools Ability to travel ~20–30% Pay Range: $162,800 - $244,200 Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
