About Us

The HLH Imaging Group is a market-leading provider of lung cancer screening radiology reporting services. We have built our reputation on quality - in our clinical outcomes, our processes, and the people we bring into the organisation. That commitment to excellence isn't just something we talk about; it shapes every decision we make, from how we design our services to how we support our teams.

We are a business in growth. Year on year, we are expanding our reach and raising the bar for what high-quality teleradiology looks like in the UK. As we scale, we remain committed to ensuring that growth never comes at the expense of the standards that define us. We are actively growing our teleradiology capabilities into new clinical areas - including prostate and cardiac imaging - bringing the same quality-first ethos.

If you are looking for a place where quality is genuinely valued - not as a compliance exercise, but as a core belief - HLH is that place.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and credible Head of Quality & Governance to take ownership of our governance function at a pivotal stage of our growth. With established frameworks already in place, this role is focused on building upon strong foundations - enhancing, scaling, and embedding governance practices that are fit for an organisation with ambitious growth plans.

This is a senior, self-starter, position. You will provide visible, proactive governance leadership across clinical, corporate, data, risk and compliance domains, working closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure that quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are woven into everyday practice.

You will be the face of governance internally and externally collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team, engaging with regulators, and acting as the organisations primary point of accountability for governance matters.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Oversee and scale governance frameworks across clinical, corporate, data, risk, and compliance functions, ensuring they remain effective as the organisation grows.
  • Implement clear, scalable Standard Operating Procedures and manage day-to-day Quality and Governance operations.
  • Lead the regulatory compliance programme, maintaining accreditations and certifications (e.g., ISO, CQC, QSI).
  • Champion clinical governance with clinical leads to improve patient safety, quality, and the management of incidents, complaints, and adverse events.
  • Support the Chief Medical Officer in managing medicolegal issues internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Provide governance advice to the executive leadership team and board, translating regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance.
  • Oversee data governance, ensuring strong policies and accountability for data quality, integrity, security, and GDPR compliance.
  • Lead the organisational risk management framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
  • Monitor the regulatory landscape, including emerging areas such as AI governance, ensuring proactive organisational adaptation.
  • Lead external governance engagement with customers and stakeholders, reinforcing HLHs reputation as a leading teleradiology provider.
  • Develop and mentor the governance team, promoting a culture of quality and continuous

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior governance, quality, risk, or compliance leadership role within a radiology or healthcare environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical governance frameworks and patient safety standards.
  • Experience scaling or maturing governance frameworks and operational processes in an organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing risk management, maintaining ISO standards and CQC regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, accessible guidance.

Desirable:

  • Clinical background or experience within healthcare governance
  • Hands-on data protection knowledge
  • Experience within teleradiology or radiology.
  • Experience with data governance and information governance, including GDPR.

What We Offer:

·      A leadership role with genuine influence over organisational strategy and culture.

·      The opportunity to build on an already strong governance foundation, shape the function for scale and build a larger team around you.

·      A collaborative, mission-driven environment committed to clinical excellence and patient safety.

·      Pension Plan

·      Private Medical Insurance with Vitality

·      Wellness Policy

·      Company-wide social days
