We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated dietitian to join our friendly dietetic team working at Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries.
As a Specialist Dietitian you will have the opportunity to consolidate and develop your own clinical skills, as well as supporting the development of others in the team. The post holder will contribute to high standards of clinical care, quality improvement and safety.
The successful applicant will be organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to work and communicate across boundaries to ensure the best possible care for patients and carers. You will support and promote nutritional strategies for renal and diabetes patients across the region (2 days diabetes and 1 day renal cover). Previous experience renal or diabetes or both is essential for this post.
Your learning needs are important to us and we are able to collaborate to support continued professional development.
You will be supported by an experienced team of specialist dietitians and will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including community clinics and the haemodialysis unit.
It is essential that you are able to travel and work between multiple sites within our rural location.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute toward specialist services and service innovation within a proactive dietetic team.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
