- Assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications, including gathering technical data and supporting documentation
- Manage and maintain the company's patent portfolio, tracking important deadlines and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Prepare and review basic patent-related documents, collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary information
- Support communication between internal teams (R&D, legal, etc.) and external patent counsel
- Assist with general IP administrative tasks, such as filing and updating records
- Extensive experience with and understanding of patents
- Experience/knowledge of office actions, new filings, and the ability to read notices and identify deadlines
- Legal administrative experience
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with MS Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with filing system software and docketing
- Paralegal skills and executive administrative support experience
- Experience in life sciences or biotech is ideal but not required
- Strong attention to detail
