The Opportunity

As our team expands, our London office seeks to enhance its management by hiring a Director for the Mechanical services team.

This role is pivotal for the team, requiring someone who is passionate, possesses strong leadership qualities, and is driven to foster team development. We are looking for a trusted advisor who can provide direction and technical support, ensuring seamless delivery.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with the prospect of establishing and re-establishing structures without feeling daunted by the task and have a vested interest in successfully driving this team forward.

This team encompasses Engineers of various levels of experience, and they work on niche and exciting projects across multiple sectors.

About You

You will want to take ownership, be innovative, use initiative and are driven by client satisfaction

Education

  • Hold a relevant degree
  • Chartered (CEng) Member of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) or able to obtain chartership

Technical/ Experience

  • Outstanding design, technical detailing and specification writing experience.
  • Expert design of Mechanical Building Services systems in the sectors that BakerHicks work in, including HVAC and Public Health.
  • Have significant experience in delivering on medium - large size projects
  • Have considerable experience in managing a team - from graduate level to senior level engineers
  • Extensive involvement in contributing to and/or leading bids, proposals and tender specifications

Additional

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to eloquently present complex ideas.
  • Strong ability to develop enduring relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that deliver long term benefits.
  • Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications
