Senior QA Manager

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance to own and evolve the quality strategy for our AAA title. In this role, you will be accountable for maintaining and refining the QA organization, defining the QA process, and providing clear, quality signals throughout development. You will partner closely with Production and discipline leadership to surface risk, inform decision-making, and ensure the game meets a high bar for quality, stability, and platform compliance. This role is both strategic and hands-on in leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and sustainable development practices.

Responsibilities:

• Own the QA process, defining and continuously refining our quality strategy, workflows, test frameworks, and success metrics across the project.
• Lead and maintain a high-performing internal QA organization, while establishing effective partnerships and accountability with external QA vendors.
• Be the primary quality partner to the development teams, providing clear quality signals, risk assessments, and readiness input to inform scheduling, prioritization, and release decisions.
• Establish and maintain QA standards, documentation, and reporting to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Oversee vendor QA strategy and performance, including scope definition, quality expectations, and integration with internal QA efforts.
• Own platform compliance and certification readiness across all target platforms, proactively identifying risks and driving mitigation plans.
  
  
  

Requirements & Skills:

• Shipped at least two games in at least a Lead QA capacity and across console(s) and PC.
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing QA teams, including mentoring senior ICs and establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Prior experience with TRCs/TCRs.
• Experience developing test frameworks and plans from project goals and executing them.
• (Bonus) Unreal Engine experience.
• (Bonus) Experience working with an outsource team.

Qualities:

• Operates with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment, setting direction for the QA department and making decisions in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional communicator who can clearly and credibly surface quality risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Proven ability to navigate and resolve cross-discipline conflict, constructively challenging assumptions while maintaining trust and forward momentum.
  
  
  

TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is for U.S. only.

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $145,000 - $170,000
