The Regulatory Adherence Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the Operations team in DBS Bank is in full compliance with all applicable regulations. This role involves a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, proactive identification and mitigation of compliance risks, and fostering a strong culture of adherence throughout Operations teams across Institutional and Consumer Banking.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform independent assessment of adherence to existing regulations
- Monitor and analyse all new and amended regulations and regulatory guidelines issued by financial regulators (e.g., RBI, SEBI, IRDA, FIMMDA, FEDAI) and other relevant authorities (eg NSDL, CDSL)
- Ensure that all new regulations are disseminated and assigned to the respective département heads in Operations for further assessment
- Collaborate with the various Operations teams to assess the impact of regulations and perform gap analysis
- Work with the Operations teams for relevant process enhancements and fixes and updation of the SOP documents wherever required
- Work with Technology teams to track that the tech solutions are implemented as per the regulatory ask in an accurate and timely manner
- Contribute to the incorporation of key regulatory risks into Unit's Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
- Promote a strong regulatory compliance culture through various forms of communication, including training and awareness communications
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance, or a related field within the financial services industry (10-15 years)
- Should have strong knowledge of banking operations across Institutional and Consumer Banking
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, and guidelines, particularly those issued by relevant local regulatory bodies (RBI, SEBI etc)
- Should have prior experience in reviewing and monitoring of regulations, regulatory returns and handling of regulatory audits.
- Chartered Accountant
- Good Computer Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
