Applications are invited for the following Clinical Fellow vacancy at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital.
The hospital is also the regional tertiary centre for cardiac surgery and complex electrophysiology for the West of Scotland and the largest volume PCI centre in the UK.
This posts will form part of the surgical team responsible for the Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service in the West of Scotland Regional Heart & Lung Centre. The major focus of the appointment will be to support the adult congenital surgical service currently provided by the 3 consultant congenital cardiac surgeons at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital.
The appointees will share responsibility with other team members for pre-operative assessment, preparation, surgical care and post-operative care of patients under the care of SACCS. This includes attendance at outpatient clinics, ward rounds and elective operating sessions.
Applicants should hold the MRCS or equivalent and ideally should have experience in cardiothoracic surgery. Experience in intensive care and high dependency management is required.
The post is available for one year in the first instance with further extensions potentially available depending on satisfactory progress.
