The Role

If you apply and are successful in being appointed to this position, you will join us at an exciting time. With fantastic growth in recent years, we are working to ensure that this growth continues for many years to come. In this new role, you will drive and manage the sales growth of food enzymes, primarily in central and western USA and Canada, with a focus on fruits and protein.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Proactive account planning and sales analysis to maximize opportunities in the market and drive sales growth. Identifying, creating, quantifying and prioritizing such opportunities
  • Achieve sales targets whilst also delivering key performance metrics with key accounts
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through engagement at multiple organizational levels
  • Develop new business in Food to achieve regional and global strategy for growth
  • Effectively negotiate contracts and finalize deals to execution
  • Deliver high accuracy in sales forecasting
  • Collaborate closely with AB Enzymes’ global Key Account team and other internal partners to manage the daily relationships with customers
  • Attending trade shows and industry conferences to develop contacts, ascertain industry trends and promote AB Enzymes’ products


About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology or closely related field
  • Experience in enzymes is a big advantage, however, not essential. More importantly you bring significant in-depth knowledge and experience from the fruit processing, protein and/or grain processing industry (gained preferably in commercial roles)
  • Relevant technical skills and understanding to know the right questions to ask of customers is advantageous
  • Demonstrable business acumen enabling ability to conceptualise, determine and identify prospects growth, strategic importance and future potential
  • Strong customer focus with desire and interest to understand and meet customer needs
  • High level interpersonal impact, communication and influencing skills which build constructive relationships at all levels. Able to resolve problems and find solutions
  • Fluency in written and oral English. A second language such as Spanish is an advantage
  • Collaborative team player and co-worker who builds positive relationship both within and outside the organization
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, with a drive and passion for learning
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of working time throughout the NAM region and occasional international travel as required
  • Knowledge, experience and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as other business software
