Events / Community Lead
Job Description:
This is a key role of the Events team will drive the integrated brand strategy and establish the brand credibility, particularly in curating, planning and executing events, including chats, gatherings, forums, seminars, workshops, conferences, festivals etc (referred to as "Brand Events") as part of the The Brands activation, positioning, marketing, and communication activities. The team will engage, partner and or collaborate with other events (including cobranding) to establish The Brand as a reference brand in well-being and stewardship. The Brand represents a Movement that invites courageous thought and action leaders to join efforts to co-create a flourishing future together.
This team is responsible for Events that will drive the following aspects:
- Drive the Events aspect aligned with the Integrated Brand strategy: Develop, Translate, and Guard the Brand Events
- Lead the implementation of The Brand Events Strategy: Position, Represent, Raise Profile of the Brand
- Build and Sustain The Brand Events and Community/Network Management
Brand Events Developer
Develop Brand Events Strategy to support and align with The Brand's activation. This would include activation for building networks through cultivation of Influencers and Journey Mates through management of strategic events:
- To build own and partnered events.
- Target strategy for Influencers
- Events planning and deployment strategy.
Brand Events Translator
Curate, prepare and implement an events calendar and alignment with Partnership and PR & Marketing strategies.
Develop and keep up to date an Events kit to guide and align cross-functional and cross-border event initiatives, including event set-up, design, colors, collaterals etc. that represent The Brand.
Brand Events Guardian
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-border teams to ensure alignment and integration of PR and Marketing strategy and initiatives across the organization with The Brand Events.
Brand Events Messenger
Create and curate content and messages for The Brand Events aligned with The Brand and aligned to the PR & Marketing strategy.
Brand Events Manager
Plan, curate, execute and deliver end to end events, including conceptualizing, client liaison, project planning, budget management, supplier coordination, management of internal resourced, venue selection (if applicable), catering, decor, lighting, sound, and entertainment.
- Sourcing and management of event partners, vendors, and sponsors to deliver events.
- Manage event timelines and logistics, including managing staff, coordinating schedules, and communicating with event stakeholders.
- Monitor event progress and adjust as needed to ensure that the event meets or exceeds expectations. implement improvement plans.
- Management of guest list, invitations, and coordination.
- Management of delivery service for events with set standards.
- Monitor and assess customer experience for continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and implement creative ideas to enhance event experiences.
- Manage the event CRM and maintain accurate records (both past, potential, and current) on CRM database tool.
Collaborate and work with:
- Content team to align materials on content development and developing hooks to entice interest of guests, speakers and/or targeted companies.
- Partnership/PR & Mktg/Communication to deliver consistent, high-level service throughout pre-event, event, and post-event phases of property events.
- PR & Mktg to integrate marketing and communication materials (including digital products)
Community Builder
Play the role of a gracious host and ensure guests are comfortable and well cared for throughout the event. Foster connections and build relationships with guests to ensure they leave with a positive and memorable experience. Observes service behaviors of guests/employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Responsible for smooth operation of events relevant to target community.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2C/B2B event planning and conference management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional event experiences across diverse categories.
- Skilled in developing and implementing an events strategy aligned with brand activation, including building networks through cultivating influencers and strategic partnerships via owned and partnered events.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining an events calendar, ensuring alignment with partnership, PR, and marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Proficient in conceptualizing innovative event concepts and show-calling, with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Extensive experience in planning, curating, and executing end-to-end events.
- In-depth understanding of the wellness industry, including the latest trends and topics, with a passion for conscious living and inner transformation.
- Knowledge of sustainable event practices, ensuring events are environmentally responsible and aligned with the brands values.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional and cross-border teams to align and integrate event strategies across the organization.
- Experience working closely with content, partnership, PR, and marketing teams to ensure consistency and alignment in materials and messaging for events.
- Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, fostering connections, and building relationships with guests to create positive and lasting impressions.
- Skilled in monitoring event data and using it to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stays up to date with industry trends, implementing creative ideas to enhance event experiences and exceed stakeholder expectations.
