Operation Manager (Mall and Retail)
Job Description:
Liberte HR is partnered with one of the largest Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in Asia with a strong presence across Hong Kong and Singapore. In Singapore, the REIT has a solid portfolio which houses some very recognizable shopping malls locally.
The Company is looking to hire for an Operations Manager to oversee the Operation and Facility Management team of their large shopping mall operations in the West of Singapore. The role will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally sustainable environment across a large-scale property. This includes ensuring defined cleanliness standards are met, optimizing water efficiency, managing environmental service contracts, and aligning operations with both regulatory requirements and organizational goals. A key focus will be on sustainability practices and effective vendor management.
The Role:
- Oversee and manage all housekeeping operations and implement effective cleaning protocols.
- Develop and enforce pest management strategies and coordinate preventive pest control activities.
- Manage waste segregation, recycling, and disposal systems with a focus on sustainability.
- Supervise landscaping activities to maintain the propertys aesthetic appeal.
- Develop and execute sanitation programs to promote health and hygiene.
- Implement targeted disinfection measures, particularly in high-touch areas.
- Oversee the maintenance of kitchen exhaust systems.
- Monitor indoor air quality and apply improvement measures as needed.
- Drive water conservation by implementing water-efficient systems and practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through collaboration with relevant authorities.
- Review, manage, and negotiate service contracts for cleaning, pest control, waste management, landscaping, and related services.
The Incumbent:
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or related fields.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in soft services or environmental facilities management.
- Prior experience in a retail or commercial property setting is highly preferred, specifically in large scale shopping mall operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Proactive, results-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
