M&E Technician
Job Description:
Our client operates a national high-containment biomedical research facility that supports advanced scientific and biosafety research. They are seeking a hands-on and reliable M&E Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of critical building systems within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting and fire protection systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, motors, pumps and related equipment.
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond to alarms or faults.
- Maintain proper documentation, logs and safety compliance records.
- Coordinate with contractors and support facility upgrades or shutdowns.
- Provide emergency response support and standby/shift coverage when required.
Requirements
- ITE / Higher ITE / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- At least 2 years' experience in facilities or building maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical or plumbing systems.
- Able to read basic M&E drawings; CMMS knowledge is a plus.
- Responsible, detail-oriented and willing to work shifts if needed.
- Licenced Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is advantageous.
