Level-Up complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (No. 4 of 2013) (“POPIA”) and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (No. 2 of 2000) (“PAIA”), and outside South Africa, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ratified by the European Union in April 2016.
POPIA requires Level-Up to inform its clients and candidates about how their personal information is collected, processed, secured, disclosed, and destroyed. This policy outlines how Level-Up handles such personal information and the general purpose for which it is used. It also addresses the standards expected of Level-Up employees in this regard.
Level-Up collects, stores, and processes personal information pertaining to data subjects including employees, candidates, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders. The type of information collected and processed depends on its intended purpose and will be processed only within that scope. Whenever appropriate, Level-Up will inform the data subject of the required information, its purpose, the rights of participation, and other relevant legal provisions.
