 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, track, and analyse trends, policies, and developments within the travel and tourism industry.
  • Produce accurate, engaging, and insightful news and feature articles for a B2B audience.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with travel professionals, operators, tourism boards, and policymakers.
  • Conduct interviews and gather first-hand insights from industry leaders and stakeholders.
  • Interpret market data, reports, and regulatory updates to explain their business implications.
  • Collaborate with editors and colleagues to uphold editorial standards and tone.
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining journalistic integrity and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in reporting.
  • Confident in networking and attending industry events professionally.
  • Organised, dependable, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful able to identify and develop original stories beyond press releases.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant degree or diploma in Journalism, English, Communications, Politics, Economics, or related fields (preferred).
  • Proven journalism or writing experience with a portfolio of published work.
  • Experience in newsroom, trade, or industry-specific reporting will be an advantage.
  • A valid drivers licence and own reliable transport (travel required for interviews, events, and press trips).
