About Our Client: Our client is a well-funded startup in the aerospace sector, specializing in cutting-edge eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. With plans to revolutionize urban mobility, they are at the forefront of innovation and poised for significant growth.
The Role: They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and market launch of an eVTOL aircraft. This position is crucial in driving the project from its initial concept through to a successful market introduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the products market launch and manage the entire eVTOL project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed product timelines, including critical paths, milestones, and dependencies.
- Create and manage delivery schedules in alignment with customer requirements, business objectives, and development/manufacturing plans.
- Collaborate with development managers to organize task dependencies and prioritize effectively.
- Ensure the safety, quality, and cost management of the eVTOL product.
- Oversee product cost management and coordinate with various teams to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in product management within vehicle development (aircraft, automotive, motorcycles, rail vehicles) with a strong focus on safety.
- Business-level proficiency in English.
- Open to diverse educational backgrounds, ages, and nationalities.
Desired Experience:
- Manager or Lead Engineer experience.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, with hands-on experience in aircraft type certification.
- A track record of successfully leading product development projects, launching products, and providing post-launch support.
- Experience in designing and evaluating B2C products for safety and quality.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft design, development, manufacturing, and testing.
- Basic understanding of eVTOL technology.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and safety standard certifications.
