Senior Accountant

Role Overview:

They are looking for an Accountant/Senior Accountant to join their finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The role encompasses managing daily accounting operations, overseeing monthly and annual closings, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, expense reports, and treasury.
• Manage vendor invoices, prepare bank wire transfers, and handle fixed assets, inventory, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Train staff, prepare financial statements, and assist with audits and tax filings.
• Participate in process improvements utilizing SAP S4, Concur, and OpenText.

Requirements:

• Accounting or finance experience with Japanese Bookkeeping Level 2 certification.
• At least five years of experience in an international, English-speaking accounting environment.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English; retail experience is an advantage.
