About Our Client: Our client is an innovative startup in the aerospace sector, specializing in the development of state-of-the-art eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. With a strong commitment to transforming urban mobility, they are seeking to design a cockpit that prioritizes safety, comfort, and user satisfaction.
The Role: They are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of the cockpit for our eVTOL aircraft. This role involves designing a cockpit that ensures passenger safety and comfort while maintaining a user-friendly and reliable interface.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define cockpit requirements and manage the necessary resources, including technology, personnel, equipment, and schedules.
- Provide technical direction and lead the cockpit development team.
- Collaborate with the project manager and development leaders to drive the overall eVTOL development.
- Oversee the design and development of key systems, including:
- Cockpit space layout
- Passenger seats and safety harnesses
- Windshield (canopy) and accessibility features
- Maneuvering controls (e.g., controls, pedals, switches)
- Console panels (instruments, displays, navigation)
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, aeronautics, or related fields.
- Open to diverse educational backgrounds, ages, and nationalities.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in user interface development for mobile or web apps.
- Interior design experience for vehicles (e.g., cars, motorcycles).
- Development of hardware interfaces (control sticks, panels, button layouts, etc.).
- Knowledge of passenger safety, space design, and user interfaces.
- Managerial or lead engineering experience.
- Over 7 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in vehicle or drone development (e.g., aircraft, automotive, robotics).
- Extensive knowledge of design, development, manufacturing, and testing processes.
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Basic understanding of eVTOL technology.
- Experience in negotiating with suppliers, obtaining safety certifications, and mass production.
