Retail System Business Analyst
Our client, a US luxury brand, is seeking a Retail System Business Analyst to join their team in Japan. This position requires both technical and interpersonal skills. Youll work closely with users, technicians, and leadership teams, pulling, analyzing, and reporting data trends. You must also communicate and apply this information effectively on the business side.

THIS POSITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS OF JAPAN.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business processes and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Perform requirement analysis and implement adequate solutions.
  • Anticipate business needs and develop a system roadmap.
  • Conduct technical analysis and integrate various systems including:
    • SAP CAR
    • POS systems
    • Store Allocation systems
    • CRM systems
    • Store Back Office systems
    • Store inventory management systems
    • Other retail-related systems
  • Understand 3PL systems and processes.
  • Support the global IT team in executing the IT roadmap.
  • Lead reviews of current retail business processes and establish optimization strategies.
  • Create technical documentation such as user manuals and system specifications.
  • Communicate and document ideas and plans effectively to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Lead meetings related to retail IT.
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Perform technical testing and support UAT.
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor system performance.
  • Lead store IT project plans including systems and infrastructure requirements.
  • Manage competing resources, priorities, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Support additional initiatives necessary for the company's expansion.

To Land This Role:

  • 5+ years' experience with Information Technology and systems.
  • Good understanding of ERP system infrastructure (preferably SAP S4 Hana).
  • Experience in implementing and administering POS systems (preferably SAP).
  • Good understanding of in-store infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese is mandatory.
  • Experience in business processes and applications (ITIL certification preferred).
  • Preferably experienced in the retail industry.
  • Experience in project management (PMP certification is a plus).
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business or Technical Discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
