About Our Client:
Our client is a pioneering startup that is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. They are dedicated to creating advanced propulsion systems that ensure optimal performance during both vertical takeoff and horizontal flight.
Role Overview:
As the Propulsion System Manager, you will lead the development of propulsion units (motors and inverters) for the aircraft. You will focus on two key systems: the propulsion unit for vertical takeoff and landing, and the unit responsible for horizontal flight. This role requires expertise in motors, inverters, and powertrain systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop requirements for propulsion units
- Select, design, and develop motors and inverters for the propulsion system
- Conduct individual propulsion unit tests, system tests, and flight tests
- Design and construct propulsion unit test facilities
- Handle the structural and electrical design, as well as the manufacturing of components related to the system and its test equipment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, aviation, or related fields
- Experience in motor and inverter development (design, development, and test equipment construction) is highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of EV powertrain development
- 4+ years of engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
- Development experience in aircraft, automobiles, motorcycles, trains, drones, or robotics
- Strong engineering knowledge related to design, development, manufacturing, and testing
- Business-level proficiency in English
- Basic knowledge of eVTOL technology
- Experience negotiating with suppliers
- Practical experience in obtaining safety certifications
- Mass production experience is a plus

Compensation:
- Competitive salary based on experience and skills
- Monthly salary (including 20 hours of overtime pay): 400,000 to 1,000,000 yen
