Seatbelt Development Engineer (Kanagawa Prefecture)

Our client is a leading global automotive parts manufacturer seeking a talented professional for the role of Seatbelt Development Engineer. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on the design and development of advanced seatbelt systems for Japanese Original Equipment Manufacturers (J-OEMs).

Job Description:

• Design and Development: Lead the development of next-generation seat belts and pretensioners designed to enhance vehicle safety.
• Product Maintenance: Maintain and improve existing mass-produced seatbelt products.
• Technical Activities: Perform design, evaluation, and enhancement of components using 3D CAD (CATIA), create prototypes with CAE and 3D printers, and conduct risk analysis (DFMEA).
• Collaboration: Engage in technical meetings, coordinate with internal and external teams, and analyze test results to drive project success.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Required:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in product development within the manufacturing industry (recent graduates with relevant academic background are also considered).
  • Graduates from a science-focused university, graduate school, vocational school, or higher technical school.
  • Beginner to intermediate English proficiency; continuous improvement encouraged.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in automotive parts design and a strong understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and achieve project goals.
