About Our Client: Our client is an innovative and well-funded startup focused on developing cutting-edge eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. They are looking for a skilled Avionics Lead Engineer to spearhead the development of advanced avionics systems for their aircraft.
The Role: They are seeking a talented Avionics Lead Engineer to provide technical direction and ensure the successful development of eVTOL avionics systems. This role involves managing projects related to flight controllers, ECUs, embedded software, and more, ensuring that systems deliver high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of critical avionics systems, including:
- Flight Controller
- Flight Management Computer (Central Control Computer)
- ECU (MCU for control of the drive train system)
- Embedded Software
- Communication System
- Various sensor units (e.g., GPS, speed sensors)
- Oversee engineering challenges such as architecture design and system implementation.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other development leaders to drive the eVTOL project.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, aeronautics, or related fields.
- Open to diverse educational backgrounds, ages, and nationalities.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in developing microcomputers, computers, and communication systems for control systems (e.g., drones, aircraft, robots, vehicles).
- Proficiency in embedded software development (C++, Python, MATLAB/SIMULINK).
- Expertise in hardware and software development requiring high reliability.
- Experience in circuit design and development/testing environments.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards for aircraft and automotive systems (e.g., ASIL, ISO 26262).
- Experience in multicopter control, flight dynamics, and autonomous systems.
- Over 7 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Managerial or lead engineering experience.
- Experience in vehicle or drone development (e.g., aircraft, automotive, robotics).
- Strong understanding of design, development, manufacturing, and testing processes.
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of eVTOL technology.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers, obtaining safety certifications, and managing mass production.
