System Engineer

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a dedicated professional to support their growing technical operations. Your responsibilities will include maintaining regular communication with the client, delivering results that meet their expectations, and building strong relationships. You will work closely with the technical project manager to facilitate smooth communication between the client and technical teams, understanding the priorities of the clients requests, and assisting the project manager accordingly.

[Function Development]

You will manage function development based on quality, cost, and schedule requirements, ensuring effective technical and design reviews. Supporting the operation of engineering gates and technical management meetings is also key. You will collaborate with the systems project manager to manage change requests and will be responsible for planning and delivering function development on a regular basis. By applying your expertise, you will ensure the latest development processes, methodologies, and tools are implemented. Additional responsibilities include leading technical escalations, resolving issues, reporting progress to the client, and improving processes to align with system, software, and mechatronics standards.

[Resource Management]

You will work in partnership with the project team and R&D department to define, review, and monitor resource management for function development.

Qualifications

• Degree: Masters degree or Bachelor's in Software, Computer Science, or Communications/Telematics.
• Experience:
  • Required: Experience in Telematics is essential.
  • Preferred: Experience in automotive product development.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems, system/software development.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic devices, cloud technologies, and data handling.
  • Experience in system engineering, requirements engineering, and testing methodologies.
  • 5-15 years of experience in related fields.
• Competencies:
  • Strong presentation skills for client-facing interactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in C++, scripting, Git commands, and Linux.
• Languages:
  • English: Business level required.
  • Japanese: Business level required.
