Overview:

Lawson Enterprises is partnering with a leading hospital in Henderson, NC, to hire a skilled Physical Therapist for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role provides direct patient care across outpatient, inpatient rehab, and acute care settings.

The ideal candidate will have a North Carolina Physical Therapist License, experience in outpatient therapy for various diagnoses, and familiarity with acute/inpatient rehab settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Outpatient Physical Therapy:

  • Conduct evaluations, treatments, and discharges for patients in an outpatient rehab setting.

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of providers to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Provide quality and timely documentation demonstrating medical necessity and patient progression.

  • Cover acute/inpatient rehab as needed.

  • Submit insurance prior authorizations as required.

  • Manage a busy caseload independently while seeking support when needed.

Team Collaboration & Scheduling:

  • Work with the Lead Physical Therapist to develop weekend, holiday, and vacation schedules
  • Partner with Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathologists, Athletic Trainers, Rehab Techs, and front office staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in monthly discipline and department meetings.
  • Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives at the hospital and departmental level.

Compliance & Professional Development:

  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, continuing education, and documentation regulations (CMS, Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • North Carolina Physical Therapist License (required).
  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy (minimum).
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy for various diagnoses.
  • Familiarity with acute and/or inpatient rehab settings.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Time management and documentation efficiency skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $70,000 $93,000/year.
