We are working with a partner to assist a client who is a civil engineering and land development management company located in Costa Mesa, California. Established in 2007, it offers a wide range of services, including civil engineering, dry utilities, and landscape architecture. They serve corporate developers and individual landowners, providing client-focused and results-driven solutions.

This is a position for a direct full-time hire onsite role for Project Manager Civil Engineer. 

What You'll Do:

  • You will be responsible for leading a team through planning, design, and other tasks for the project. 
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Lead a team of designers using ACAD and Civil 3D to create land development construction drawings and a team of associate and design engineers with an efficient and effective problem-solving management style.
  • Fully understanding and being responsible for entitlement approvals and obtaining grading permits, encroachment permits, and
  • Manage projects (i.e., High-Density Residential, Shopping Centers, Auto Dealerships, Gas Stations, Amusement Parks, and QSR developments) production of civil engineering plans for QA/QC and is responsible for project budgets.
  • Establish and oversee design criteria while following general design standards.
  • Establish project parameters that ensure prompt and quality plans are delivered on time.
  • Work directly with the Principal to produce accurate and competitive proposals and business development.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years in Land Development and AutoCAD|Civil 3D proficiency
  • 2+ years directly managing land development projects ( grading, permits, approvals, etc.)
  • Experience using AutoCAD to prepare grading, utility, or storm drain plans
  • Experience preparing land development plans, including grading, storm drains, and sewer improvement plans
  • Must be able to work onsite; this is not a hybrid or remote opportunity

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Current EIT and Professional Engineer (PE) license 
  • No Sponsorship - some government work required - must be US Citizen.
