Join our client's Detroit, MI team and contribute to improving community health and well-being as a CT Technologist.
What You'll Do
- You will perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision.
- Your responsibilities include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, acquiring images, reviewing images, and participating in process improvement activities.
- Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script.
- Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to the radiologist. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate.
- Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
- Provides imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
- Instruct patients who may be under physical/emotional stress
- Ability to comprehend and follow physician's verbal and written requests and prescriptions.
Schedule and Shift Details
- Days, afternoons, or night shifts available; 8- or 10-hour shifts; rotating weekends; on-call required.
What You'll Need
- 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
- 1+ years of experience as a Radiology or CT Technologist in the state of MI
- Radiology performing diagnostic CT exams
- ANY of the following current valid licenses/certifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited imaging program
- Must hold a current ARRT (R) or ARRT (CT)
- ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- Current CPR certification is accepted in addition to BLS
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call
