We are looking for a talented and energetic Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team. The Ophthalmic Technician is primarily responsible for the work up, education and follow up of current and potential patients.
The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for:
- Rooming patients and ensuring a smooth patient flow
- Performing visual acuities
- Performing pressure checks
- Testing for visual field
- Administering diagnostic imaging (OCT - optical coherence tomography, fundus photos)
- Supporting physician during in-office procedures
- Answering patient questions and telephone inquiries
Applicants must have:
- Minimum of two years experience working in ophthalmic care, preferred
- COA or COT certification is a plus, but not required
- Experience refracting is a plus
- Proficient computer and EMR skills
- Strong communication skills
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Ability to multi-task
- Team player
Schedule:
- Monday Thursday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Friday 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- NO Nights! NO Weekends!
