Mid-Atlantic Kidney Centers is seeking an Office Manager to join our well-established, private nephrology practice. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating all administrative functions, ensuring our team works seamlessly. Medical knowledge, excellent organizational abilities, and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Our practice includes:

  • 4 Physicians
  • 2 Advanced Practice Providers
  • 7 Administrative Staff
  • 2 Locations: Richmond/Midlothian and Prince George, VA

The ideal candidate will live near one of our locations and be open to traveling once per week to the other location.

As Office Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision, and direction to office staff, handling the following key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with providers to ensure efficient patient care and workflow.
  • Coordinate all scheduling to include physician schedules, on-call schedules, patient and staff scheduling.
  • Promote a positive work culture for all staff members.
  • Address and resolve patient or family concerns in a timely, thorough manner.
  • Coach, counsel, and manage staff performance, providing feedback and appraising results.
  • Oversee billing staff to ensure proper and efficient billing and collections.
  • Serve as the practices liaison with outside vendors such as practice consultant, IT and other vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support seamless office operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a medical office environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook and EHR
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in handling issues
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective multitasking and time-management skills with prioritization capabilities
