Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

- Provide direct oversight and guidance across all facets of the practice, including Clinical Operations, Business Services, Human Resources, and Compliance.

- Maintain a strong, visible presence in all practice locations, engaging with staff regularly to ensure smooth, efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

- Work closely with department leads to ensure all aspects of the practice run smoothly and collaboratively across locations.

- Partner with the CEO to drive the practice's vision and develop operational strategies.

Staff Management and Engagement:

- Lead, manage, and develop mid-level managers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and equity.

- Actively contribute to building an inclusive and supportive workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are valued, and everyone feels empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.

- Implement leadership development programs, innovative engagement initiatives, and retention strategies that contribute to a workplace culture where team members can grow professionally.

- Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth, and aligning team efforts with the practices goals and values.

Compliance and Regulatory Understanding:

- Ensure that the practice adheres to all relevant healthcare regulations and employment laws.

- Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Revenue Cycle and Financial Oversight:

- Work closely with the practices billing company and owners to optimize revenue cycle performance.

- Utilize strong financial and analytical skills to develop staffing budgets, identify opportunities for cost management, and enhance the practices financial health.

Programs and Eyecare Advancement Management:

- Evaluate and implement new programs and initiatives that support the practice's growth, including advancements in eyecare technology, surgical innovations, and streamlined patient schedules.

- Manage relationships with vendors and software providers to ensure efficient practice management systems, including electronic health records (EHR) and network systems.

Position Requirements:

- At least seven years of experience in a senior leadership role within an ophthalmology practice.

- Demonstrated success in fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace in healthcare.

- Strong understanding of employment regulations and compliance.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with providers, staff, and patients.

- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development, engagement, and achieving practice goals.

- Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.

- Proficient understanding of medical billing for eyecare and vision insurance billings.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and submit data for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), ensuring compliance with CMS regulations.

- Ability to adapt to changes in the healthcare industry, including technological advancements and evolving patient care standards.

- An MBA or equivalent work experience is preferred.
