We are seeking a detail-oriented Independent Contractor (1099) to serve as a Physician Lead Qualification Specialist. In this role, you will conduct outreach to medical practices while posing as a prospective patient or representative in order to gather key information about the practice, physician independence, and patient experience.  All work will be performed remotely.

Your primary responsibility will be to qualify independent physicians and gather actionable intelligence that supports our physician partnership and business development efforts.

This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable on the phone, organized, and capable of following structured outreach scripts while documenting findings accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to medical practices to evaluate and qualify physicians as potential leads
  • Pose as a prospective patient or practice inquiry to gather relevant practice information
  • Determine whether physicians operate independently or are affiliated with a hospital system or large group
  • Collect key data points including:
    • Physician name and specialty
    • Practice structure (independent vs employed)
    • Number of physicians in the practice
    • Patient access details (appointments, wait times, services offered)
  • Accurately document findings in CRM systems, spreadsheets, or lead tracking tools
  • Follow provided scripts and outreach guidelines while maintaining a natural conversational tone
  • Flag high-quality physician leads for further follow-up by the business development team
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication and phone skills
  • Ability to follow scripts while adapting naturally in conversation
  • High attention to detail and accurate note-taking
  • Comfortable speaking with medical office staff and navigating gatekeepers
  • Basic familiarity with CRM systems, spreadsheets, or data entry tools
  • Prior experience in lead qualification, telemarketing, healthcare outreach, or secret shopping is preferred but not required

Work Structure
