Job Purpose: 

Responsible for supervising the work of security officers, with the ability to solve

problems, coordinate effectively, manage teams, and respond to emergency situations. This role involves monitoring, controlling, and coordinating to ensure the security system operates efficiently

Key Result Areas:

  1. Team Supervision & Operations Control- Oversee and manage the performance of officers by ensuring that each work shift is adequately staffed for daily operations. Strictly monitor patrol activities and ensure that responses to various incidents adhere to established security protocols.
  2. Incident & Emergency Response - Handling incidents or emergencies, coordinating with both internal and external agencies when significant events occur (HR, Police, hospitals), and reporting the situation to the Assistant Security Manager or Security Manager
  3. Security Equipment & Systems Management- Plan periodic inspections of security equipment(CCTV, radios, other) to ensure quality. Maintain records and training materials, and verify that security personnel have sufficient, well-maintained equipment.
  4. Reporting & Documentation - Prepare daily, weekly, and incident reports as required, support monthly reporting for the Assistant Security Manager, and ensure all security documentation is accurate and complete
  5. Training & Staff Development - Lead the training of security guards to ensure they understand their roles, regulations, and emergency procedures. Oversee daily shift briefings and conduct daily review meetings with the security guards.
  6. Communication & Coordination -Act as a liaison between security staff and Estate management, and coordinate with other departments (Engineering, HR) on security measures. Report directly to the Assistant Security Manager or Security Manager
  7. Oversee the inspection and readiness of emergency equipment and patrol vehicles, ensuring timely maintenance and reporting any issues.

General

  1. Supervise and ensure Security Officers comply with regulations and standards
  2. Monitor and inspect security patrols to ensure they follow the assigned plan
  3. Handle on-site issues such as staff absences, emergencies, or complaints from clients or employees.
  4. Serve as the first point of contact in managing emergencies such as theft, fire, altercations, or accidents within the assigned area, ensuring swift and effective response in accordance with security protocols
  5. Report emergency incidents and responses to the Assistant Security Manager or Security Manager
  6. Inspect CCTV, access control systems, and two-way radios to ensure they are operational and ready for use
  7. Inspect patrol vehicles (pick up patrol, motorcycles) to ensure they are ready for immediate use. Implement a clear schedule for regular maintenance and inspections to maintain optimal performance and safety.
  8. Employ digital tools or logbooks to track maintenance activities, ensuring timely servicing and reducing the risk of unexpected breakdowns.
  9. Report and coordinate the repair of damaged equipment or systems requiring maintenance to ensure timely resolution and maintain operational efficiency
  10. Establish a schedule to verify that security personnel are equipped with essential items such as flashlights, two-way radios, notebooks, and personal protective equipment (PPE) and coordinate with the company to address any deficiencies or maintenance needs
  11. Responsible for preparing daily and weekly reports, as well as incident reports, to ensure accurate documentation of security activities and events
  12. Maintain Detailed Records, ensure that all reports include essential details such as dates, times, locations, and descriptions of events.
  13. Responsible for preparing summary reports on issues, complaints, and suggestions for improving security measures.
  14. Train and advise security personnel on regulations, procedures, and security protocols to ensure they perform their duties effectively and in compliance with established standards.
  15. Consult and train new employees to enable them to perform their duties effectively.

Key Qualifications:

  1. 2-3 years of experience in security operations.
  2. Hold certifications or demonstrate knowledge in basic fire safety and first aid procedures.
  3. Experienced in managing outsourced service providers effectively
  4. Capable of handling emergency situations and resolving unforeseen incidents promptly
  5. Knowledgeable in training and supervising security personnel to ensure adherence to protocols.
  6. Able to communicate in English at a basic conversational level.
  7. Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  8. Exhibit a positive attitude, adaptability to change, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
