Scope of Work

1. Strategic Development & Pipeline Growth

  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for hotel management agreements (HMA), joint ventures, lease/operated models, and branded residences across target markets.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective deals aligned with brand growth strategy (luxury, upscale, lifestyle, etc.).
  • Prepare market intelligence reports, white spot analyses, and growth strategy proposals by geography or brand.

2. Deal Sourcing & Owner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, asset owners, investment funds, and brokers.
  • Lead outreach efforts, attend industry events, and represent the brand in development-related forums.
  • Manage initial due diligence, developer screening, and qualification of business leads.

3. Feasibility, Financials & Internal Approvals

  • Coordinate project feasibility studies with internal teams (operations, design, technical services, finance).
  • Review and validate key commercial assumptions: ADR, occupancy ramp-up, GOP margin, IRR, and payback period.
  • Prepare internal business cases, presentation decks, and EXCO submissions for new projects.

4. Negotiation & Deal Structuring

  • Draft, review, and negotiate term sheets and HMAs in coordination with legal counsel and corporate stakeholders.
  • Ensure deal terms are aligned with brand standards, operator returns, and long-term positioning strategy.

5. Project Handover & Pre-Opening Coordination

  • Ensure a smooth handover of signed projects to the Technical Services and Pre-Opening teams.
  • Monitor critical path items leading up to pre-opening including design milestones, TSA signing, and budget alignment

6. Reporting & Internal Communication

  • Maintain accurate deal trackers, development dashboards, and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Participate in weekly BD meetings and provide regular updates on market intelligence, pipeline status, and competitor activity.
  • Act as a bridge between cross-functional teams: operations, legal, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment on new project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Hospitality, Finance, Real Estate, or related field
  • 710 years of relevant experience in hotel development, investments, or real estate advisory
  • Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with HMA terms, branded residence models, and feasibility tools
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building capabilities
