Lead pilot studies, design data tools, oversee data collection and analysis, and build capacity across teams to use insights for decision-making to set up and strengthen monitoring, research, and evaluation systems across our programs.

Role Expectations

*All the below-mentioned tasks would be key to your role. The following requirements are not mentioned in order of priority.

  • Establish robust and standardized monitoring systems across geographies that enable timely visibility into program implementation, quality, and outcomes.

  • Support in designing and contextualising rigorous data collection and monitoring tools that generate reliable and actionable program insights.

  • Build enumerator capability to consistently collect high-quality data through creating and delivering detailed training modules.

  • Ensure monitoring data is accurate, complete, and trustworthy, enabling confident decision-making across our programs.

  • Lead the creation of data dashboards and cyclic reports for data-driven decision-making.

  • Generate evidence on program effectiveness and impact through rigorous research, evaluations, and pilot studies that inform strategic decisions.

  • Contribute to the evolution of MEL strategy and frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Build a high-performing team by mentoring, and managing team members to consistently deliver their goals in alignment with organizational priorities.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in the education, research, or development sector, with demonstrated success in managing research projects and evaluating programs.

  • Experience with outcome-based evaluations & working with children or youth is highly preferable.

Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Kobo Toolbox, SurveyCTO, and advanced Excel; familiarity with data analysis and visualization.

  • A self-starter who acts with urgency and can find effective solutions to complex challenges.

  • Detail-oriented, curious, and excited by working with large datasets to derive meaningful insights.

  • Comfortable with frequent travel and being on-ground to support Labhya's programs and research.

  • Open to experimentation, learning, and collaboration in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.

  • Deeply committed to integrity, transparency, and trust in both process and relationships.
