WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead and oversee our technology operations in a fully remote environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure while supporting the business with scalable technology solutions. You'll manage day-to-day IT operations, drive cybersecurity initiatives, oversee vendors and systems, and provide technical support to employees and contractors across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, including cloud environments. Ensure reliability and security of all systems. Maintain documentation for all IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Cybersecurity: Develop and maintain the organization's cybersecurity strategy. Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and security threats. Implement endpoint protection, firewalls, MFA, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with company policies. Lead incident response and coordinate remediation activities.
  • ISO 27001 certification: Assist the company with acquiring and successfully retaining the ISO 27001 certification.
  • User Support: Manage IT support services and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal support. Improve end-user experience through proactive maintenance and training. Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Systems Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 or other enterprise platforms as applicable. Manage email systems, file storage, cloud services, and collaboration tools. Ensure software licensing compliance. Oversee system upgrades and migrations.
  • Vendor & Asset Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Track IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records. Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Project Management: Lead technology projects from planning through implementation. Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and security standards. Support internal and external audits. Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team. Conduct performance reviews and training plans. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the annual IT budget. Monitor technology expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. Recommend strategic technology investments.

WHO ARE YOU?

  • Advanced certification or formal education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT administration, IT management, or a similar technology-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security best practices, and risk management.
  • Experience managing and supporting remote working environments, including remote access, devices, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle technical challenges efficiently.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify improvements, implement solutions, and drive continuous development of IT processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, contractors, and external vendors.
  • Ability to work independently while taking ownership of IT operations and ensuring business continuity.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, software providers, and IT-related services is an advantage.
  • Experience within the iGaming industry, regulated markets, or fast-paced remote-first environments is highly advantageous.
  • Ideally based in Malta, Cyprus, or Macedonia.



Note: This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a fully remote contractor position with flexible working hours. Due to the nature of the role, availability outside standard working hours may occasionally be required to support critical IT operations, resolve urgent issues, and ensure business continuity. Remuneration will be based on experience, technical expertise, and the scope of responsibilities.
