Software Engineering in Test Intern

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering in Test Intern who is passionate about software testing and quality assurance. This role is ideal for a student one year to a year and a half away from graduating and can commit to working 15-20 hours per week. As a Software Engineering in Test Intern, you'll work closely with our development team to design, develop, and execute test cases, identify defects, and contribute to improving our testing processes. This internship will provide valuable experience in coding automated tests and applying software programming skills in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product functionality and develop test strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases to cover various scenarios and ensure product quality.
• Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or MS Playwright.
• Assist in developing and implementing testing strategies for various applications and features.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and document software defects.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the quality assurance process.
• Learn and apply software development best practices to the testing environment.
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to the engineering team and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 1-1.5 years remaining until graduation.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
