About the job Applications Engineer - Lisbon
As part of our client Pre-Sales Engineering team, the ideal candidate will work closely with the International Sales area to expand the business. This person will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the sales process and working with sales teams to develop and position the products of this international brand, as well as write and respond to specifications for tenders, conduct product tests in complex scenarios, and organise and deliver training to employees and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Disseminate product knowledge through thorough training sessions for field sales, pre-sales, consultants, partners, and end users, which may involve travel.
- Support Sales teams by responding to RFPs, creating designs, specifications, and quotes.
- Handle Pre-Sales field escalations, engaging necessary Motorola resources to deliver solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Sales teams, consultants, partners, and end users.
- Create technical documentation for new products and specific customer use cases.
- Collaborate with Technical Support and Escalations teams for post-sales customer support as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively manage time and tasks, even under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Assist in managing the EMEA Demo Pool warehouses, including packaging, shipping, inventory management, and system administration tasks.
- Validate technical aspects of materials and quotes from the International Inside Sales teams.
- Support the Events Marketing team in organising field events, such as roadshows and trade shows, including setup and logistics.
- Conduct onsite activities, including international travel for site surveys, system audits, and commissioning.
Requirements:
- Experience in commissioning video and access control systems.
- Experience with cloud-hosted video and access control platforms.
- University degree or diploma in a technology-related field.
- Prior experience in the security industry, with certifications in enterprise and/or cloud-hosted video and/or access control solutions.
- Technical certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, or other relevant credentials.
- Proficiency in languages other than English, with French being preferred.
