Direct reporting: Safety Officer

Dotted line reporting: Construction Manager

Mission: To execute his duties as specified by project in charge in a skillful and timely manner

Responsibilities:

• Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.
• Follow all safe work practices.
• With the safety personnel, oversee the implementation of risk and safety assessments.
• Show a personal example of good safety practice.
• Attend and where necessary conduct Safety Meetings and Toolbox Talks.
• Use and maintain the proper safety equipment and PPE at all times in accordance with training, manufacturers instructions and Company policy.
• Responsible for Rigging all loads at the construction site (inspecting and preparing loads, setting, aligning, leveling, selecting appropriate rigging gear, inspecting, monitoring.
• Communicating with Crane Operator during lifts.
• Must be conversant with all relevant standards, specifications, rules, regulations etc including permit to work systems

Requirements:

• Rigging Certification
• High School Diploma
• 3 Years of Experience
