Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure architecture, deployment, and operations for the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Design and govern highly available and disaster recovery architectures covering application, database, and reporting environments.
- Define and implement on-prem, cloud, or hybrid infrastructure strategies aligned with performance, security, and cost objectives.
- Oversee server, storage, virtualization, and capacity planning to support hospital-wide scalability and growth.
- Implement and manage SQL Server HA/DR solutions, including Always On Availability Groups and replication.
- Design and enforce secure network architectures, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation.
- Establish monitoring, backup, patching, and automation practices to ensure system stability and resilience.
- Collaborate with application, security, DBA teams, and vendors while maintaining documentation, DR runbooks, and audit readiness.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure leadership, preferably in healthcare or enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server HA/DR and enterprise database infrastructure.
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including hybrid deployments.
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, backup, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Exposure to automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Ansible.
- Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills with the ability to lead delivery teams.
