SAP Technical ABAP Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Technical ABAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in ABAP programming and will serve as a key resource for developing, enhancing, and troubleshooting SAP applications across various modules.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for ABAP development across the SAP landscape, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Design, develop, and implement complex ABAP programs, interfaces, reports, enhancements, and forms based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions that align with business objectives.
• Lead code reviews and performance tuning initiatives to ensure optimal performance and maintainability of ABAP applications.
• Mentor and train junior ABAP developers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices within the development team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in ABAP programs and SAP applications, providing timely support to users.
• Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, including S/4HANA and Fiori, and evaluate their applicability to the organizations needs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and training materials.

Requirements:

• 7-10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong understanding of various SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, CRM).
• Expertise in developing complex ABAP programs, including reports, BAPIs, user exits, enhancement points, and IDocs.
• In-depth knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools within the SAP environment.
• Strong understanding of SAP data models, database concepts, and integration techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori development is a plus.
• SAP ABAP certification or relevant technical certifications is an advantage.
