About the job Core & Cards Support Engineer (L2)
Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 support for Core & Cards applications, addressing user queries and resolving incidents promptly to meet SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues in applications hosted on JBoss or WebLogic servers.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to minimize incident recurrence.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to transition new releases into production.
- Monitor application performance, analyze capacity requirements, and ensure systems are operating optimally.
- Follow standard incident, problem, and change management processes, including detailed logging and reporting.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of SQL with experience in Oracle or MS SQL databases.
- Familiarity with Java application servers like JBoss or WebLogic.
- Understanding of web servers such as Apache or Nginx.
- Additional knowledge of Load Balancers, VM, Networking, OpenShift, and Microservices is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
