About the job System Engineer with KVM
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough engineering requirements analysis for the assigned sub-system throughout its lifecycle.
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation including preliminary and final design documents, statement of works, input/output requirements for Interfaces Management, specialty engineering inputs (RAMS, EMC/EMI, Cyber-Security), and installation management inputs.
- Develop operation and maintenance documentation along with training materials for system users.
- Collaborate with the bid team to define and estimate engineering work packages accurately.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required components and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the sub-system's performance and progress.
- Actively participate in progress meetings, providing updates on the sub-system's status and addressing any challenges or concerns.
- Analyze and resolve Problem Change Requests (PCR) effectively to maintain the system's functionality and performance.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
- Higher degree qualifications such as INCOSE CSEP (or equivalent, or ASEP) are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated engineering competencies through a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Engineering role.
- Proficient in deciphering technical scope from high-level requirements, ensuring clear understanding and accurate implementation.
- Previous experience with Governmental and/or complex IT Projects, understanding the intricacies and compliance requirements.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with teams.
- Good working knowledge of designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining a KVM (IP based) System.
- Desirable experience includes working on Security projects and familiarity with Systems Engineering lifecycles, enhancing overall system understanding and management capabilities.
