Assistant Vice President – Data Quality Management

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President – Data Quality Management to strengthen our Financial Crime Compliance function. This role will lead complex AML/KYC reviews, drive quality assurance initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance across customer due diligence processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead high-risk CDD/EDD reviews (PEPs, complex structures, cross-border exposure, high-risk industries).
• Conduct and approve customer risk assessments, ensuring compliance and documentation standards.
• Evaluate Source of Wealth/Funds and transactional activities.
• Act as escalation point for complex AML/KYC cases and suspicious activity.
• Provide recommendations on customer retention, restriction, or exit.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and prepare audit-ready risk assessments.
• Identify control gaps and drive process improvements, automation, and remediation.
• Mentor junior analysts and support capability development.
• Stay updated on evolving AML/CTF regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Risk Management, or related field.
• 8+ years' experience in AML/KYC, Financial Crime Compliance, or Data Quality Management.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, sanctions, PEP screening, and risk assessments.
• Hands-on experience with EDD, SOW, SOF assessments, and complex customer structures.
• Proven expertise in quality assurance, governance, and operational risk management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership/mentoring experience preferred.
• Professional certifications (CAMS, ICA, ACAMS, etc.).
• Experience with AML monitoring systems, KYC platforms, or case management tools.
• Knowledge of MAS, BNM, FATF, or other international AML frameworks.
