Job Title: Estimator

Summary:
Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on convenience stores and quick-service restaurants, including the installation of food and beverage equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in conceptual budgeting, design-build project delivery, and a strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope of work and project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for all aspects of the project, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare conceptual budgets for potential projects based on preliminary information.
- Participate in design-build projects by providing cost estimates and value engineering options throughout the design process.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present cost estimates to project team and clients.
- Review and analyze historical cost data to identify trends and improve future estimates.
- Maintain accurate and organized project files and records.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the commercial sector.
- Experience with food and beverage equipment installation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
