Job Overview

Our Client is looking for an EPC Head for their Taiwan office. This role will be responsible for the accomplishment of business objectives for the business in Taiwan as a General Contractor in the EPC market, establishing a validated business model to effectively manage the local EPC business line.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preparing and executing a Business Plan for the Taiwan EPC branch to enter, operate and succeed as a General Contractor in the Solar projects EPC market of Taiwan.
  • Set up and lead the EPC Team in theTaiwan EPC branch, which will ensure the optimization of for the market/projects of: designs, purchasing and contracting procedures/policies, construction performance; initially for the owned SPV project, Taisugar, later on for other Developers or IPPs.
  • Representing the EPC branch towards internal and external clients, and vendors (subcontractors and suppliers), and managing the interface/relationship between the EPC business line and (internal & external) clients in the project/business initiation and development phases.
  • Leading the preparation our EPC proposals/setup, negotiating key elements of the deal with the vendors (e.g., HoTs, price, scope, contract draft), and acting as a the lead between the vendors and the local E;P;C departments
  • Ensuring internally that we provide our best and market-standard setup and fully understand the projects requirements & expectations.
  • Adding a sales view to our EPC organization which convinces clients of our EPC setup & capabilities.
  • Advising the Regional CEO and Country MD in operational and cost-related EPC aspects of the Taiwan market.


Qualifications

  • Academic degree in engineering or business, with at least ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Expertise on costs, contracts, planning, structure, and function of PV power plants in Taiwan.
  • Experience in the preparation of EPC cost estimations, contract negotiations, management of proposal and 3rd-party tenders.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills combined with ability to coordinate well with internal teams and external clients or partners.
  • Systematic and proactive organizational approach with an ability to switch fluidly between details and big picture focus.
  • Professional skill level in Data Analytics, MS Office 365 and related IT applications.
  • Positive attitude and affinity to business topics and issues.
  • Proven experience in line management functions is a must for this role.
