Job Overview
Our client is a leading Solar Project Developer operating in Taiwan with a successful track record in C&I and Large scale solar projects across APAC countries including Taiwan and Japan. They are looking for a HV Engineer that will join the team now to support the Head of Construction in a 168MW project in Changhua
Responsibilities and Duties
- Review and evaluate electrical design systems, products, components, and applications to be provided to or by the EPC Contractor.
- Confirm system and component capabilities by liaising with manufacturers and other suppliers.
- Supervise installation works by EPC Contractor regularly and assist in daily operations, ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and/or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support and/or testing activities.
- Assist in establishing installation standards and specifications, to be adopted in construction of both on-going and future projects.
- Report to Head of Construction when required.
- Attend site visits, meetings with any authorities, prepare RFQs for purchase of electrical equipment, materials, and installation services.
- Maintain and manage engineering database and coordinate amongst subcontractors.
- Receive and analyse monthly certifications and prepare all necessary report.
- Supervise or coordinate between sites and other project team members, including the Project Development team.
- Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- At least 5 years experience in electrical engineering projects, experience in HV, MV and LV is mandatory.
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and background.
- Strong knowledge and contacts at Taipower Corporation
- Holds valid certifications per Taiwan authorities to perform related work.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and other engineering software for the calculation, sizing and integration of electrical systems.
- Proficient in programming electrical system optimization tools, like DIgSILENT or PSS/E, is preferred
